Cherni Osam

  The village Cherni Osam is situated 2 km away from the Troyan Monastery – next to the reserve Steneto and the Zelenikovski Monastery, at the foot of the peaks Golyam Kupen /2169 m/ and Levski /2166 m/.
  Cherni Osam offers you picturesque views by the river-bank of the Cherni Osam River, small beaches and pools, appropriate for fishing, many tour routes and alpine marches with guides, who are trained in the only Bulgarian school for mountain guides - situated in Cherni Osam.
  The village is famous mainly for its Natural Science Museum, created by a local Biology teacher. It has valued exhibits from the local fauna – over 1200 bird, mammal, reptile and insect species. You can hear the song of the nightingale, the roar of the bear and the cry of the wolf in the attraction hall.
